Amanda trained at Eastbourne Art School before working as an illustrator and graphic designer for Design Practitioners Ltd. in Sevenoaks Kent. She took a break from professional artworking to bring up her four children, and focus on a career in educational development for dyslexic and special needs children. She returned to painting and drawing in the mid 2000s.
Her work has been exhibited in Dorset and Somerset, including To The Fore at the Silk Mill in Frome, 2019; Stroke, Captured Light, Grounded and Reflections - part of Frome Open Art Trail 2018, 2019,2021 and 2024; First Impressions at Shaftesbury Arts Centre in Dorset, 2013; and various group shows in Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire.
